OK I wish this page to be my index of links to the writings and speeches of Mr. Vonnegut. I designed it this way because if I put all his writing on one page it would take forever to load, might scare off a lot of people and be a difficult thing to print if you only wanted one selection.

I want to explain a little why I put up a page to Mr. Vonnegut. I did it because I think his words might be able to help everyone in college, and those copleting college, not to mention everyone else. It all started for me with the un-Vonnegut speech that was allegedly delivered at MIT. I read it and put it away. Later I found he never wrote it and I started reading more. My mother had me read "Slaughterhouse Five" and then I started exploring the web and reading other things he had written. I wanted to try and put something up that could perhaps brighten someone's dark day.

So I hope you can sit back and read these at your leisure and that you can say, "If this isn't fun, I don't know what is."

All I can Tell You: Currently his most famous commencement address, which he never gave.
Southampton College: Delivered at Southampton College.
Rice University: Yup you guessed it....
Syracuse University

One note has to be made about those first four pages. The bulk of the code for them, and thus the work came from another persons page. This person has far more about Vonnegut than I could probably ever collect. Usually when I find a page like this, I do not even try to imitate it. However, it seems that it's a student's page at a university and my fear was that when he graduated, all of it would be lost. This is why I began taking his code and putting it on my page. He desearves full credit however for almost all of the code and he has my thanks. Now I'll give you his URL: The Vonnegut Web

So it goes.
